
Sabourin University Bursary
Purpose
The purpose of the University Bursary is to support CACCN Toronto Chapter members in academic development through provision of a $1000.00 tuition reimbursement for enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate program once every year. The Bursary will be awarded at Evolutions each year and will reflect enrolment in either the fall session of the previous year and/or winter session of current year. Applications must be received by March 31 each year.
Restrictions
- The applicant must be registered as an RN in Ontario.
- One year of current membership with the CACCN is required.
- Current members of the CACCN executive are not eligible while they are in office.
- Applicants must complete the appropriate forms. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Applicants receiving other tuition assistance are eligible for support, however, applicants and referees must disclose knowledge and amount of financial support previously received.
Application Process
- Applications can be obtained by contacting the current secretary of the Toronto Chapter. CACCN Secretary
- Proof of registration in program is required
- Photocopy of receipt for payment of tuition enclosed.
- Two reference letters consisting of a reference from each of the following:
- Manager or other employer representative
- A work colleague
- The applicant must enclose an abstract (max. 250 words plus reference list) for a poster or verbal presentation, or for an article which the applicant intends to submit for a CACCN conference, including Evolutions, Dynamics, or newsletter “Critical Connections” or journal within the next year.
